2017 solar eclipse to be seen in Saint Lucia

On Monday, August 21, 2017, all of North America will be treated to an eclipse of the sun. Anyone within the path of totality can see one of nature’s most awe inspiring sights – a total solar eclipse. Vieux Fort senior citizen missing

A 63-year-old woman, who has early stages of dementia, has not returned to her La Ressource, Vieux Fort home since yesterday afternoon, according to relatives. Eulice Jn Pierre was last seen yesterday between 3 and 4 p.m., relatives said. She is wearing a white dress with brown dots and a pink top with brown dots, with no shoes, relatives said. BCF: Injured inmate ‘recovering well’

An inmate of the Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) who was injured in a  stabbing incident on Saturday  morning at the institution, is ‘recovering well’, prison officials have disclosed. The inmate,  Emmerson Dornelly, had to be rushed to St Jude hospital after being stabbed in the chest and lower abdomen during an altercation with another inmate, identified as Junior Duncan. Cul-de-Sac man, children accused of scamming public with “false sponsorship” papers

The management of the Choppers United Sports Club has disclosed that several persons are using the organisation’s name to carry out a financial scam. In a broadcast message via social media, the club’s management said a man sporting a Rastafarian/dread-locked hairstyle from Cul-de-Sac, along with “some kids” from Marchand, are “passing around town and up north with false sponsor sheet papers picking up money on behalf of Choppers United Sports Club”.
